0171 - The Basics Are Coming Back

Halfway through 'The Basics Are Coming Back', there's a line where they sing "Something in here is coming up / Something really special". Ain't that the fucking truth! This is a straight-up masterpiece. There is not a single part of it that I don't love. It's constructed using layers of sublimely detailed electronica, with a perfect vocal and just the right amount of drama to it. The production is fantastic. It's so on point that it reminds me of Sasha at his peak in places. It's basically a beefed-up 'Wavy Gravy', but better. My favourite song of the year so far.
