Tame Impala - Wings Of Time

Lifted from the new Dungeons & Dragons soundtrack, 'Wings Of Time' has all the ingredients you'd expect from a Tame Impala track. It's a peculiar combination of 'Apache' by The Shadows and those Kiss-style 80s rock songs that were all over the radio back then, delivered with Kevin Parker's usual psychedelic flair and some killer vocals. So why is it not tickling me as his other tracks have? To these ears, it feels like a song he's been given to sing instead of writing it for himself. That's not the case, but it needs that extra something he usually delivers.
