CHAI - ACTION / Donuts Mind If I Do

Thanks to my very good friend Nick, CHAI were one of my favourite discoveries of 2020. I've been trying to persuade more friends to listen to them, but they are a tough act to categorise. I'd probably file them alongside the likes of Go! Team. Intentionally rough around the edges, but they definitely know how to knock out a tune. Now signed to the seminal Sub Pop imprint, this phenomenal two-header consists of a Black Lives Matter call to arms and a sort of 80s power ballad empowerment anthem about how important doughnuts in times of crisis. Get into it.
