Annie - American Cars

Annie can do no wrong. Actually, that's a lie. She does one thing really wrong. She waits far too long to release new music. The last stuff we got from her was an EP in 2015. Label problems, apparently. I don't care though, however, because this comeback is a fucking triumph. It's an epic, sprawling, cinematic diamond, but retains all of the peerless classy pop touches that you know Annie for. If you've been listening to the Chromatics stuff from earlier in the year you'll know the drill. This is an ethereal masterpiece and bodes very well for the album.
